Shipments From Canada

Everything you need to know about the new regulations on shipping Unaccompanied Baggage to the island.

Learn about the new shipping regulations in force until December 31, 2023.

What is considered Unaccompanied Baggage?

ENA or unaccompanied baggage is baggage that has not been cleared to travel in the same means of transport in which its owner travels. This allows you to travel light while still bringing those things you want and are allowed on the Island.

Don't get any surprises!

We tell you what requirements your luggage must have to be classified as Unaccompanied Baggage:

  •   It must be consigned to you or to a person who has actually traveled to Cuba and must be shipped in the same country of origin as the traveler.
  •       It must be dispatched by the passenger himself or on his behalf.

When you arrive in Cuba you must mark it on the Advance Traveler Declaration.

Until December 31, the exemption from customs taxes is maintained on ENA shipments of up to 500 points or 50 kg, which may contain toiletries, food and medicines.

The most common mistake:

In the event that the passenger cannot be present for the dispatch of your Unaccompanied Baggage, you can grant a Power of Attorney in the name of whoever is going to pick it up. This Power of Attorney must reflect the number of the air waybill, the BL or the document. that covers the Shipment, as well as the data of the person to whom the Power of Attorney is granted
The new regulation in force until 12/31 gives you the possibility of getting the most out of your trips and purchasing essential products without paying customs duties.
